About the role
Dialogue Partners is a consultancy and ecosystem catalyst working across Bangladesh's ready-made garment (RMG) sector. We help manufacturers turn global climate, compliance, and trade shifts into operational advantage — from science-based decarbonization targets and end-to-end ESG reporting to circularity, clean technology, and responsible business conduct. We are looking for a Sustainability & ESG Consultant to join our Climate Resilience & Decarbonization practice. You will work directly with factory leadership teams, moving sustainability from a commitment on paper to measurable performance on the factory floor — auditing current practice, building internal capacity, and producing reporting that stands up to buyer and auditor scrutiny. This is a hands-on role. Expect a mix of structured analysis at a desk and time on the production floor with the people who run it. You will be supported by senior colleagues, but you will own your workstreams and be accountable for the quality of what we deliver under our clients' names. Responsibilities
- Deliver sustainability and ESG engagements end to end — from initial diagnostic through to final disclosure.
- Conduct factory-level assessments of energy, water, chemical, and waste performance, and translate findings into
- prioritized, practical action plans.
- Support clients in setting and validating science-based targets (SBTi) and building realistic decarbonization roadmaps.
- Prepare ESG and compliance reports aligned with international frameworks, ensuring data is accurate, traceable, and
- audit-ready.
- Run capacity-building workshops and self-audit training so factory teams can sustain improvements on their own.
- Assess technology and efficiency opportunities — renewable energy, energy efficiency, ETP and water recovery, resource
- optimization — and build the business case for each.
- Track evolving EU and global regulation, including due diligence and circularity requirements, and turn it into clear,
- actionable guidance for clients.
- Build and maintain working relationships with factory leadership, industry bodies, auditors, and international
- stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental engineering, or a related field, ideally within textiles,
- apparel, or manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of the frameworks our clients are held to — SBTi, GHG Protocol, and ESG reporting standards.
- Comfortable working with operational data: collecting it, interrogating it, and turning it into decisions.
- Strong written English — the quality of our reports is a core part of what clients pay for.
- Ability to explain technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences, in both Bangla and English.
- Willingness to travel regularly to factory sites across Gazipur, Narayanganj, and Chattogram.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
- Self-directed and organized — you will be managing several workstreams at once without close supervision.
